HB1511 Summary

• Persons with suspended or revoked driving privileges for alcohol-related violations under Arkansas Code § 5-65-103, § 5-65-205, § 5-65-303, § 5-65-310, or § 3-3-203 must attend a victim impact panel provided by an organization approved by the Division of Aging, Adult, and Behavioral Health Services.

• Changes the required organization from one providing "statewide services to victims of drunk driving" to a "drug and alcohol safety education program provider contracted with the division."

• Increases the program fee from $10.00 to $40.00 per enrollee to offset program costs, except for enrollees in the custody of the Department of Corrections who pay a maximum of $10.00.

• Organizations must provide proof of attendance and completion to participants upon finishing the victim impact panel.
