AR HB1541

Amends Arkansas Code § 6-17-1117(a)(3)(A) to require school district local contribution rates to health insurance increase by the same percentage as base salary increases for licensed personnel with a minimum bachelor's degree.

Modifies Arkansas Code § 6-17-1117(a)(5)(A) to create an exemption when school districts are required to raise base salaries due to increases in the minimum teacher compensation schedule under § 6-17-2403.

School districts are exempt from increasing health insurance contribution rates when salary increases are mandated by state minimum compensation requirements.
