House Committee on State Agencies and Governmental Affairs and Senate Committee on State Agencies and Governmental Affairs shall meet jointly to study election technology, including biometric data and ballot tracking.

Study shall assess potential use of biometric data for elections (voluntary fingerprints and facial recognition), ballot tracking procedures (voluntary ballot numbers to track votes), mobile polling stations, and other election technologies to increase transparency and security.

Secretary of State shall provide information needed to complete the study.

Committees must submit final written report to Legislative Council on or before November 30, 2022, including findings on election technology to adopt and recommended draft legislation.

Study is complete upon submission of the final report to the Legislative Council.
