Increases the commercial driver license application fee from $41.00 to $50.00.

Changes the validity period of commercial driver licenses from 4 years to 5 years from the date of issuance.

Grants the Office of Driver Services authority to adjust commercial driver license expiration periods through rules and regulations to ensure approximately 20% of valid licenses are renewable each fiscal year.

Adjusts fee distribution by increasing the amount deposited to the Commercial Driver License Fund from $20.00 to $25.00 and the amount distributed under § 27-16-801(d) from $20.00 to $25.00, while eliminating the $1.00 distribution under § 27-16-801(g).

Becomes effective January 1, 2022.
