AR HR1045

Act 366 of 2017 established a communication impediment designation available on Arkansas driver's licenses or identification cards and decals for license plates.

The designation is intended to help law enforcement officers, emergency medical service providers, and firefighters communicate with individuals who have medical conditions affecting communication ability, including Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorders, and Down syndrome.

HR 1045 directs the House of Representatives to raise public awareness about the availability of this communication impediment designation and decal for qualified Arkansas residents.
