Libraries operated by the state, county, or municipality may accept debit card and credit card payments for fines, charges, donations, purchases, and associated costs in accordance with applicable state and federal law.

Libraries may enter into contracts with debit card or credit card companies and pay fees normally charged by these companies for accepting card payments.

Libraries must assess a transaction fee equal to the amount charged by the debit card or credit card company, which may be added to the payment amount.
