AR SB170

Creates a new offense of unlawful doxxing of a minor on social media platforms, defined as publishing private or identifying information about a minor with malicious purpose to frighten, coerce, intimidate, threaten, abuse, or harass.

Requires that the communication cause the minor to be in reasonable fear of physical injury for the offense to apply.

Classifies doxxing of a minor as a Class B felony if death occurs or monetary loss is $1,000,000 or more.

Classifies the offense as a Class C felony if physical injury occurs or monetary loss is $10,000 to $999,999; and a Class D felony if monetary loss is $500 to $9,999.

Classifies all other unlawful doxxing of a minor on social media as a Class A misdemeanor.
