AR SB641

Reduces the Professional Bail Bond Company and Professional Bail Bondsman Licensing Board from eight (8) members to seven (7) members appointed by the Governor for seven-year terms.

Composition requirement: three (3) licensed bail bond company owners, one (1) current or former municipal chief of police, one (1) current or former county sheriff, and two (2) residents who are not bail bond owners, judges, sheriffs, or chiefs of police.

Removes the requirement for a municipal or circuit judge on the board.

Ensures no two of the three bail bondsman members reside in the same congressional district, with each congressional district represented by at least one (1) board member.

Maintains diversity requirements: at least one (1) African-American member and at least one (1) female member on the board.
