AR SB670

Authorizes the Arkansas State Game and Fish Commission to promulgate rules allowing adjustment of maximum fees for resident hunting and fishing licenses based on Consumer Price Index calculations.

Establishes a three-phase fee adjustment schedule: beginning July 1, 2021, adjusted fees cannot exceed 65% of the baseline maximum; from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2031, fees may increase up to 25% of the previously adjusted maximum; and on or after July 1, 2031, fees may increase up to 25% of the prior adjusted maximum.

Defines "Consumer Price Index" as the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) published by the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics and "present value" as the baseline maximum multiplied by the ratio of current to baseline CPI.

Requires the commission to provide semiannual reports to the Game and Fish/State Police Subcommittee of the Legislative Council detailing the total amount of increased fees collected from resident license adjustments.
