Attorney General must file biannual reports with the Legislative Council itemizing and summarizing all lawsuits in which the Attorney General provides representation.

Each lawsuit report must include the subject matter, state tax dollars spent in the previous six months, and if final judgment or settlement reached, the total cost and outcome.

Reports must identify the state entity, employee, or elected official subject to the lawsuit and the act, statute, policy, program, or rule being challenged.

When a court determines an act of the General Assembly is unconstitutional, the Attorney General must report the court's opinion, whether the lawsuit was part of constitutional review under Acts 2021, No. 608, and the total taxpayer dollars spent defending it including employee salary estimates and other expenses.
