Establishes maximum of 189 regular employees and authorizes up to 19 temporary/part-time employees for the State Insurance Department for fiscal year 2022-2023.

Appropriates $14,641,739 for Department of Commerce - State Insurance Department Operations, including $7,736,755 in regular salaries, $2,531,210 in personal services matching, and operating expenses.

Appropriates total of $87,371,892 across 26 funding sources for various State Insurance Department programs including fraud investigation, prepaid funeral benefits, employee claims, insurance trust funds, and healthcare initiatives.

Allows transfer of unused appropriations from Regular Salaries, Extra Help, and Personal Services Matching to Professional Services line item with Chief Fiscal Officer approval if examination personnel cannot be fully staffed.

Effective July 1, 2022, with all disbursements subject to compliance with state procurement law, accounting procedures, revenue stabilization law, and other applicable fiscal control laws.
