AR HB1086

Amends Arkansas Code § 27-15-316(b) to modify parking privileges for disabled veteran special license plate holders under the Access to Parking for Persons with Disabilities Act.

Removes the requirement that vehicles display a valid disabled veteran license plate issued by another state to qualify for handicapped parking privileges.

Adds new requirement that vehicles must display a special certificate or temporary special certificate issued by the Office of Motor Vehicle to use disabled parking spaces.

Permits vehicles with valid disabled veteran license plates from other states to use Arkansas handicapped parking spaces only when actively transporting a disabled veteran.
