AR HB1306

Replaces the Treasurer of State with a person with banking background appointed by the Attorney General on the boards of trustees for the Arkansas Public Employees' Retirement System, Arkansas State Highway Employees' Retirement System, and Arkansas Teacher Retirement System.

Establishes six (6) year terms for members appointed by the Attorney General on all three retirement system boards, with eligibility for reappointment.

Requires the Attorney General to fill vacancies in the Attorney General-appointed positions within thirty (30) days of the vacancy declaration.

Clarifies vacancy procedures for the Arkansas Public Employees' Retirement System, including when trustees leave employment or retire and specifies the Governor shall appoint replacements within thirty (30) days.

Adds new subsection to Arkansas Teacher Retirement System law governing terms and vacancies for the Attorney General-appointed member.
