AR HB1482

Amends Arkansas Code § 13-5-704(b) to modify the composition of the Delta Cultural Center Policy Advisory Board, which remains an 11-member board appointed by the Governor and subject to Senate confirmation.

Replaces the requirement for two academic advisors trained in Delta folklore, history, or related fields with three members from the Delta region who have exhibited interest in the culture and heritage of the Delta.

Increases at-large board members from three to five members.

Repeals one unnamed board member category while retaining two representatives of Main Street Helena and other specified positions including two Phillips County residents and one Delta blues musician.

Implements changes through filling of vacancies without shortening terms of current board members serving on the effective date of the act.
