Changes the frequency of mandated reporter training from every fourth school year to every fifth school year, effective 2013-2014 school year.

Moves family and community engagement and Arkansas history professional development trainings to begin in 2023-2024 school year on a four-year cycle, with one-time completion requirement for personnel who completed training before 2023-2024.

Requires new teachers to obtain training in mandated reporter reporting, family and community engagement, teen suicide awareness and prevention, Arkansas history, and human trafficking within their first two years of employment.

Allows out-of-state teachers receiving reciprocal licenses to receive a provisional license until they complete the required professional development.

Limits public school districts to requiring no more than 4 additional days of professional development beyond the 6 days already included in a basic teacher contract.
