Schools and school districts cannot require employees to complete implicit bias training or take adverse employment action against employees who refuse to participate.

The State Board of Education cannot require implicit bias training as a condition for obtaining or renewing educator licenses or for professional development.

School employees may leave any training they determine addresses implicit biases without penalty or recourse.

State-supported institutions of higher education cannot require employees to complete implicit bias training or take adverse employment action for refusal, except when at least 95% of the training is required by an accreditor, grantor, or licensor.

Institutional employees may leave training they determine addresses implicit biases without recourse, with the same 95% accreditor/grantor/licensor exemption applied.
