HB 1575 - Arkansas Reemployment Act

• Requires individuals claiming unemployment benefits to complete at least 5 work search contacts per week to maintain eligibility for that week.

• Defines "work search contact" to include job applications, employer interviews, job fairs, and job skill training at workforce centers or with eligible training providers.

• Disqualifies individuals from benefits for any week they fail to complete the required 5 work search contacts during that week.

• Mandates the Division of Workforce Services audit at least 100 weekly work search reports for verification each week.

• Becomes effective January 1, 2024.
