AR HB1816

Establishes state policy ensuring members of unincorporated nonprofit associations retain control over the governing principles, purposes, and policies of their association.

Grants members the right to adopt, amend, restate, or repeal governing principles by majority approval, in addition to any methods specified in existing governing principles.

Amended or restated governing principles take effect immediately upon approval by a majority of the members.

Prohibits non-members from objecting to or challenging the validity of members' adoption, amendment, or repeal of the association's governing principles, purposes, and policies.
