AR HB1822

Adds Arkansas Code 16-64-132 requiring courts to reduce tort damage verdicts by amounts the plaintiff has received or will receive from collateral sources including other persons, corporations, insurance companies, or funds

Excludes from the reduction requirement any benefits paid as a result of contracts entered into and paid for by or on behalf of the plaintiff

Requires the court to enter final judgment on the reduced damage amount after applying the collateral source offset

Applies to tort actions resulting in death, injury to person, or property damage after the finder of fact returns a verdict
