AR HB1825

Removes the requirement that board member appointments be subject to limitations in the authority's agreement, making the management and control provisions apply directly to all regional airport authorities.

Eliminates the provision granting the state a majority of board seats if the state is a participating member, replacing it with an equal percentage of members as each other participating governmental unit.

Clarifies that board members appointed by municipalities and counties must be nominated by the mayor or county judge and approved by a majority of the city council or quorum court, or appointed by the Governor.

Allows at least two (2) members to be appointed by the municipality where the authority is located, even if that municipality is not a participating party in the authority agreement.

Maintains existing requirements that municipal and county appointees be bona fide residents and qualified electors of their respective jurisdictions, and that state appointees be bona fide state residents.
