Brent Renaud (October 2, 1971 – March 13, 2022) was an award-winning documentary filmmaker from Little Rock, Arkansas who was killed in Ukraine when Russian troops opened fire.

Co-founded 501 Films with his brother Craig, producing documentaries for HBO, NBC, Discovery, PBS, and others; their film "Last Chance High" won a Peabody Award and they won a DuPont-Columbia Award for "Vanguard: Arming the Mexican Cartel."

Co-founded the Little Rock Film Festival and Arkansas Motion Picture Institute; served as a visiting distinguished professor at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 2019 and was a Neiman Fellow at Harvard University in 2019.

Produced documentaries addressing social crises including his 2015 film "Between Borders: American Migrant Crisis" and his 2018 film "Shelter," which raised millions of dollars to combat youth homelessness in New Orleans.

House of Representatives remembers Brent Renaud for his service and dedication to Arkansas and the filmmaking industry; a copy of this resolution will be provided to his family.
