Woodlawn High School Bears baseball team won the 2A State Championship on May 19, 2022, defeating the Bigelow Panthers 7-2 at Everett Field.

Team completed the 2022 season with a record of 27-6 and won the 8-AA Conference Championship.

Head Coach Tommy Richardson led the team, which has won state championships in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2021.

Owen Stover and Jaxson Case were named All-State selections, and Cale Edmonds was named Most Valuable Player for the championship game.

House of Representatives recognizes the Woodlawn High School Bears baseball team as the 2A Baseball State Champions and directs the Chief Clerk to provide a copy of the resolution to Head Coach Tommy Richardson.
