Trinity Catholic Middle School Science Bowl team won first place at the U.S. Department of Energy National Middle School Science Bowl regional competition held on January 28, 2023, at the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith.

The team competed against charter schools, public schools, and other private schools, and consists of seventh graders Elliot Bray, Henry Morrison, McCrae Price, and Lucas Woods, plus sixth grader Isabella Garrett, coached by Mrs. Tia Marsh.

The competition tests students' knowledge in biology, chemistry, Earth science, physics, energy, and mathematics through a fast-paced question-and-answer format, with more than 5,000 middle school students competing in 50 regional tournaments in January 2023.

The Trinity Catholic team is notable for placing first despite most competing teams being eighth graders, while the team includes primarily seventh graders and one sixth grader.

The House of Representatives recognizes the team and authorizes providing a copy of the resolution to Mrs. Tia Marsh; the team will compete at the national finals in Washington D.C. in 2023.
