House Resolution recognizes Representative William Larry Prater of Cedarville, Arkansas for his service to his community and state.

Prater served in the Arkansas House of Representatives during the 82nd, 83rd, and 84th General Assemblies as Chairman of the House Parks and Tourism Subcommittee, securing $90,000 for Cedarville Public Library Building Fund and $50,000 for Mulberry Public Library Building Fund.

Accomplishments include reinstatement of state aid to public libraries, sponsorship of legislation requiring fees for special library tax elections, support for fire departments, senior centers, veterans housing and health care, and opposition to school consolidation in Crawford and Franklin counties.

Served on Crawford County Board of Education from 1973 to 1998, served as President of Crawford County Cattleman's Association in 2006 and 2007, and helped restore the Cedarville Old Rock School House for use as a library and community center.

Resolution celebrates Prater's 90th birthday on March 18, 2023 and directs the Chief Clerk to provide him a copy upon adoption.
