Director of State Highways and Transportation shall request that Congress amend 23 U.S.C. § 127 to add a waiver for certain logging vehicles on the Dwight D. Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways in Arkansas.

Covered logging vehicles eligible for weight limit waiver must: transport unprocessed forest products, have gross vehicle weight not exceeding 85,000 pounds, have at least 5 axles, operate on Interstate Highway segments in Arkansas no longer than 20 miles, and possess a permit from the Arkansas Highway Police Division.

The act shall expire upon Congressional amendment of 23 U.S.C. § 127 to include the requested language regarding logging vehicle weight exemptions.

Director of State Highways and Transportation must notify the Bureau of Legislative Research when Congressional action occurs that causes the act to expire.
