AR SB57

Prohibits the Arkansas State Medical Board from increasing or setting assessed fees above amounts specified in state code for medical corporations, osteopathic physicians, physicians, respiratory care practitioners, and physician assistants.

Authorizes the board to reduce fees below statutory amounts if determined to be in the best interest of the state, subject to approval by the Governor and either the Legislative Council or the Joint Budget Committee (if General Assembly is in session).

Applies fee caps and reduction authority to multiple fee categories including application fees ($400), temporary licenses ($50 per six-month period), certification fees ($15), annual registration fees ($70), credentialing service fees (up to $100), and respiratory care practitioner registration fees.

Requires any fee reductions to be implemented through the administrative rule process with required approvals, rather than allowing unilateral board action.
