AR SB59

Adds definition of "school employee" to Arkansas Code § 5-2-601, including both classified and licensed school employees employed under written contract.

Replaces "teacher" with "school employee" in Arkansas Code § 5-2-605(1) to expand the category of school personnel authorized to use physical force.

Permits school employees, parents, guardians, and others with care and supervision responsibilities to use reasonable and appropriate physical force on minors or incompetent persons to maintain discipline or promote welfare.

Authorizes use of physical force when the caregiver is authorized under Arkansas Code § 5-2-606 to use such force on minors or incompetent persons.
