Department of Health must conduct a study on naturopathic physicians and naturopathic medicine practice in Arkansas, including the number of practitioners, their educational credentials, and geographic distribution.

Study must survey other states to identify which ones recognize naturopathic physicians in state law and the methods of recognition (licensure, certification, registration, or other).

For states recognizing naturopathic physicians, study must examine: regulatory methods, governing entities, initial and ongoing requirements (education, continuing education, exams, fees), scope of practice limitations, and insurance/Medicaid payment provisions.

Department must complete the study by June 30, 2024, and submit the report to the Governor, legislative leadership, relevant House and Senate committees, the Department of Health Secretary, and the Arkansas State Medical Board.

Report must be made publicly available on the Department of Health's website.
