Recognizes the Seventy-seventh Southern Legislative Conference of the Council of State Governments Southern Office scheduled for July 8-12, 2023 in Charleston, South Carolina.

CSG South is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization serving southern legislatures from 15 states including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The conference has been convened for 76 years, beginning in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and brings together more than 1,500 southern legislators, government staff, and their families to discuss regional policy matters and solutions.

CSG South is governed by an executive committee of legislative leadership with six standing policy committees overseeing various topics with legislators and staff from member states.

The Senate Chief Secretary shall provide a copy of this resolution to CSG South Director Lindsey Gray upon adoption.
