House of Representatives congratulates Brenda Huett, R.N., upon her retirement and commends her 45 years of service as a registered nurse.

Huett began her nursing career in 1979 at age 26 in the Arkansas State Hospital LPTN psychiatric nursing program and earned her RN through the Baptist System School of Registered Nursing in conjunction with Henderson State University.

Huett worked 15 years at Arkansas Children's Hospital in behavioral health and burn care, 8 years at Community Mental Health Center where she earned her Psychiatric Certification, and 10 years as a traveling nurse in Maine, the Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Louisiana, Nebraska, and Tennessee.

Huett spent the last 10 years working with the Department of Health's regional flu team during flu season and 10 years as a nurse at the H. Elvin Shuffield Capitol Infirmary during legislative sessions.

Huett is a member of the National Nurses Honor Guard Coalition, active in the Saline County Chapter, and a copy of this resolution shall be provided to her by the Chief Clerk of the House.
