• Recognizes the Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts for 35 years of service since its founding on March 21, 1989, by Helen Walton and Ed Dell Wortz.

• The all-volunteer committee has provided thousands of free art displays by women artists and organized more than 20 professionally produced traveling exhibitions since 1996, featuring work by over 150 artists across 20 Arkansas cities.

• Committee has supported approximately 800 women artists by providing opportunities for their work to be reviewed by professional curators, museum directors, art critics, and professors.

• Created and distributed educational materials including publications in 1992-1994, Girl Scout resources distributed to 2,000 troops in 1998, and launched a website in 2005 and Facebook page with approximately 2,000 followers.

• Provided $15,000 in underwriting for the Arkansas Artist Registry in 1993, awarded 25 cash prizes to individual women artists beginning in 1995, and funded summer internship opportunities for female college and university students beginning in 1999.
