Roger Allan Norman is retiring at the end of the current fiscal year after over 47 years of state service with Arkansas Legislative Audit.

Norman holds certifications as a CPA, licensed attorney, certified fraud examiner, and is certified in financial forensics; he served as legal counsel for 23 years and as a staff auditor for 7 years before becoming Legislative Auditor in January 2007.

As Legislative Auditor for 17 years, Norman oversaw a staff of more than 250 individuals performing over 1,000 audit engagements annually of constitutional offices, executive and judicial branches, higher education, school districts, municipalities, counties, and prosecuting attorneys.

Norman implemented significant professional advancements including transition to electronic work papers, data mining incorporation, cybersecurity reviews initiation, and restructuring of continuing professional education training.

The Senate commends Norman for his distinguished service and contributions to the State of Arkansas, including his leadership roles as president of the National State Auditors Association in 2014 and the National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers, and Treasurers in 2018.
