Harding University Bisons completed an undefeated season by defeating Colorado School of Mines 38-7 to win the 2023 NCAA Division II Football Championship before a crowd of 12,000 attendees.

Team set college football history by rushing for 6,160 yards in a single season, averaging 411 yards per game with 79 rushing touchdowns, and rushed for 502 yards in the championship game alone.

Bison defense ranked second nationally in scoring defense (10.9 points per game allowed) and fifth in total defense (247 yards per game allowed).

Special teams kickers averaged 41 yards per punt and made 80% of field goal attempts.

Senate recognizes and congratulates the Bisons for securing the first-ever Division II football championship for an Arkansas program, with the Secretary of the Senate to provide a copy of this resolution to Head Coach Paul Simmons.
