Pregnancy becomes a qualifying event allowing individuals to enroll in health insurance policies issued under Arkansas Code chapters 85 and 86, even outside normal enrollment periods

Employees or dependents who previously declined the State and Public School Life and Health Insurance Program can enroll due to pregnancy as a qualifying event

Arkansas Medicaid Program must make presumptive eligibility determinations for pregnant women, enabling immediate access to prenatal care while full applications are processed

Medicaid may designate one or more qualified entities to screen eligibility and immediately enroll pregnant women into the program
