AR HB1036

Allows eligible persons to register to vote or update their registration in person during early voting or on election day at polling sites, vote centers, or early voting locations in their county of residence

Removes the current 30-day pre-election voter registration deadline requirement for in-person registration, while maintaining that deadline for third-party voter registration organizations

Requires same-day registrants to sign a written eligibility affirmation under penalty of perjury confirming they are eligible to vote and have not already voted in the election

Poll workers must verify the person has not already voted and immediately update voter registration records to be visible at every polling location statewide

If poll workers cannot complete verification requirements, voters may cast provisional ballots that will be counted if they return by 12:00 noon on the Monday following the election with required documentation
