Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and physician assistants may sign documents that previously required a physician's signature, including disability certifications for parking permits, sports physicals, bus driver physicals, do-not-resuscitate forms, jury duty medical excuses, death certificates, workers' compensation forms, and school/employment absence documentation

Durable medical equipment authorizations that APRNs and physician assistants can sign now explicitly include orthotics, prosthetics, and diabetic shoes or shoe inserts

Diabetic footwear covered under the bill must be designed to reduce skin breakdown risk in patients with diabetes and existing foot disease, and to relieve pressure to prevent diabetic foot ulcers
