Healthcare professionals who are lawfully providing healthcare services would be immune from criminal liability for harm or damages arising from negligent acts or omissions related to that care

"Healthcare professional" is defined as employees of healthcare facilities or persons licensed, certified, or authorized by Arkansas law to administer health care

Covered healthcare facilities include hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospices, home health agencies, ambulance providers, outpatient clinics, and similar organizations

The immunity applies only to negligence-based claims, not intentional misconduct or acts outside lawful practice

Existing immunities, defenses, limitations of liability, or procedures under other laws or contracts remain unaffected
