AR HB1285

Amends Arkansas Code § 20-13-108 to create exemptions from the telemedicine requirement for ambulance operators who triage, treat in place, or transport patients to alternative destinations

Requires the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council to develop protocols by rule for 9-1-1 emergency medical situations that are exempt from the telemedicine coordination requirement

Allows ambulance services to adopt one or more of the exempted protocols with approval from their medical director

Permits ambulance services to request that the Council approve additional protocols for exemption from the telemedicine requirement

Mandates the Council to annually review all protocols exempted from the telemedicine requirement
