Volunteer security personnel at churches and places of worship receive civil immunity from liability for damages, injury, or death resulting from negligent acts while providing safety and security services

Churches and places of worship also receive civil immunity for the negligent actions of their volunteer security personnel

Immunity requires that the church mandate training for volunteer security persons and that the volunteer has completed that required training

Immunity explicitly covers the use of both nonlethal and lethal force in providing security services

Immunity does not apply to intentional, reckless, or grossly negligent conduct
