AR HB1425

Abolishes the Arkansas Fire Protection Licensing Board and transfers all its authority, duties, functions, records, contracts, personnel, property, and unexpended funds to the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board

Existing orders, rules, licenses, registrations, and standards from the abolished board remain in effect until amended or repealed by the receiving board

Expands the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board's powers to include oversight of fire extinguisher rules and registration, previously handled by the abolished board

Grants the Fire Protection Services Board authority to suspend firefighter certifications (in addition to existing revocation power), with suspended firefighters who do not request a hearing having no appeal rights

Allows removal of Fire Protection Services Board members who fail to attend regular meetings continuously for one year by majority vote of remaining members
