Interpreting physicians for diagnostic mammography are no longer required to be physically on site, but must be immediately available via telecommunication

Patients must sign a waiver acknowledging that diagnostic evaluations performed via telemedicine or remotely may have limitations compared to in-person evaluations

Diagnostic evaluation results must be provided to patients before they leave the facility after completion of the evaluation

Department of Health must modify all rules related to diagnostic mammography services and facility accreditation to allow remote physician interpretation

Quality standards for mammography facilities cannot be more stringent than federal Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992 requirements (21 C.F.R. Part 900)
