Requires homeowners to provide written notice at least 28 days before filing a lawsuit against contractors or suppliers for construction defects discovered within one year of dwelling completion

Contractors and suppliers must respond within 14 days by proposing an inspection, offering to remedy the defect, or disputing the claim

Claimants accepting a repair offer must do so within 30 days and provide reasonable access during normal working hours for the contractor to complete repairs

Bars homeowners from suing if they accept a remedy offer and the contractor fulfills it; allows immediate lawsuit if contractor disputes the claim, fails to respond, or fails to complete agreed repairs

Exempts Attorney General enforcement actions under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act from these pre-suit notice requirements
