Teachers may only be assigned to teach grade levels or subjects for which they hold full or provisional licensure, or for which they are on a division-approved licensure plan

Licensure plans may be approved for up to 3 years initially, with a possible one-time extension of up to 2 additional years for extenuating circumstances

Removes several previous licensure exceptions including emergency teaching permits, effective teacher exceptions, Aspiring Teacher permits, and technical permits issued through Career and Technical Education

Long-term substitute requests are limited to a specified period not extending beyond the school year for which the request is made

Simplifies continuing education requirements for license renewal by removing references to the Teacher Excellence and Support System evaluation and professional growth plan requirements
