Public elementary school (K-5) library media centers must store materials containing "non-age-appropriate sexual content" in locked compartments within a designated area

Students cannot view or check out locked materials without prior written approval from a parent, legal guardian, or person standing in loco parentis

First violation by school personnel results in documentation by the principal and superintendent, with possible suspension of up to 5 days without pay

Second violation triggers referral to the Professional Licensure Standards Board, which may suspend the employee's teaching license

Third violation results in mandatory revocation of the employee's teaching license
