Parents gain rights to access all educational records under FERPA, review classroom materials including textbooks, syllabi, and lesson plans, and temporarily remove students from classes or activities that conflict with religious/moral beliefs or that promote defined "critical theory concepts"

Schools must notify parents within 24 hours of changes to services related to a student's mental, emotional, or physical health, and cannot adopt policies that prohibit staff from informing parents or encourage students to withhold such information from parents

"Critical theory concepts" are defined as ideas claiming one race/sex is morally superior, individuals are inherently racist/sexist based on identity, or that merit and colorblindness are racist—schools cannot compel students to adopt these concepts

Teachers receive explicit authority to establish classroom rules, remove disruptive students, use reasonable force for safety, press charges for crimes, and receive a rebuttable presumption of proper action when facing litigation over discipline decisions

The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education must promulgate rules to implement the act and submit proposed rules to the House and Senate Education Committees for review
