Expands existing child custody protections for military parents to include first responders (firefighters, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and certified law enforcement officers)

Prohibits courts from permanently modifying child custody or visitation orders solely based on a first responder parent's work schedule

Allows courts to make temporary custody modifications for first responder parents when appropriate, considering circumstances that maximize parent-child contact consistent with the child's best interest

Defines "first responder" as a firefighter, emergency medical technician, paramedic, or certified law enforcement officer
