Law enforcement officers involved in a deadly use of force incident must be immediately placed on paid administrative leave for 45 days

Officers must receive mandatory mental health counseling or therapy (in-person or virtual) from a licensed counselor, psychiatrist, or psychologist at no cost for a minimum of 90 days, extendable up to an additional 90 days if recommended

Officers cannot return to normal active duty without documentation from their mental health provider recommending their return

Requirements do not apply when an officer is charged with a criminal offense as a result of the deadly force incident
