Amends Arkansas Code § 16-22-211(d) to expand the exception allowing corporations and voluntary associations to employ in-house attorneys to handle legal matters for their affiliates, not just the entity itself

Defines "affiliate" as any corporation, LLC, partnership, or other voluntary association related through shareholdings, membership interests, partnership interests, or other means of control, including direct or indirect subsidiaries, parents, or sibling entities

Previously, in-house counsel could only handle the corporation's own immediate affairs and litigation; the amendment extends this to affiliates' affairs and litigation

Enacted as Act 843 of the 2025 Regular Session and approved on April 17, 2025
