McGehee Elementary School in Arkansas received the 2024 National Blue Ribbon School designation from the U.S. Department of Education in the Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing Schools category

The school serves 540 students in kindergarten through 5th grade and was recognized for narrowing achievement gaps between different student groups

McGehee Elementary provides comprehensive student support including clothing, food assistance, mental health referrals, and additional guidance counselors to address social, emotional, and physical needs

The school employs tutoring, interventions, inclusive practices, high-quality instructional materials, and a strong emphasis on literacy for students, parents, and the community

Upon adoption, a copy of the resolution will be provided to Principal Elizabeth Robinson by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives
