Dr. Brendan Kelly began as the third President of the Arkansas State University System on September 23, 2024, overseeing a system serving more than 35,000 students on campuses in Arkansas, Mexico, and online

Previously served four years as president of the University of West Georgia, where he led record-breaking fundraising including the largest gift in institutional history and oversaw enrollment growth

Held prior leadership positions including Chancellor of University of South Carolina Upstate, Interim President of University of South Carolina, and Vice President at University of West Florida

Holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Master of Arts in Communications from Eastern Michigan University, and a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Political Communication from Wayne State University

House of Representatives formally welcomes Dr. Kelly and directs the Chief Clerk to provide him a copy of the resolution upon adoption
